In 2023, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Catholic Charities of Buffalo by creating a 30-minute documentary film that chronicles the organization’s origin story and highlights the significant events and key figures that have shaped its history in Western New York.
The documentary, primarily told through on-camera interviews and supported by archival images, video, and other materials, pays tribute to the past and present while looking forward with optimism to the future of Catholic Charities. Abbey Mecca was responsible for the entire project, providing creative concept development, scriptwriting, production, and post-production services.
The film debuted in October 2023 and was distributed across social media channels, as well as broadcast on select television networks in the Buffalo Niagara market. To build anticipation for the release, we also created a behind-the-scenes video that Catholic Charities used as a teaser.
