Abbey Mecca is thrilled to announce two incredible internship opportunities for the Fall 2024 semester: one in Branded Content Marketing and another in Graphic Design! Branded Content Marketing Internship:

Join our Branded Content Marketing team and work alongside our Director of Content Marketing and talented agency staff. You’ll gain valuable skills and insights as you assist with the research, planning, and execution of content marketing campaigns tailored to our clients’ objectives and budgets. This is an exceptional opportunity for anyone curious about the marketing industry, as you’ll explore various aspects of content marketing while collaborating with a creative team.

Internship Details:

Duration: 12 weeks
Hours: Specific hours will be determined based on the candidate’s academic requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Research trends, brands, target audiences, and other industry sources
  • Gather information about client brands, industries, and competitors
  • Develop basic content marketing plans, including website content (blogs), social media, and email campaigns
  • Assist in executing content marketing activities and preparing analytics reports

Internship Path:

Throughout the 12 weeks, you’ll embark on an exciting learning journey, including:

  • Week 1: Understanding the basics of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Week 2: Intro to updating news/events on WordPress
  • Week 3: Creating content marketing plans
  • Week 4: Setting up a monthly social media calendar
  • Week 5: Research strategies and tips for writing blog posts
  • Week 6: Email marketing campaigns
  • Week 7: Storytelling—creating social media videos using Adobe Premiere Rush
  • Week 8: Repurposing content by finding relevant news stories to share on clients’ social media
  • Week 9: Content marketing reporting with social media, email, and Google Analytics
  • Week 10: Tips and tricks for growing a social media following and building a community
  • Week 11: Event promotion strategies for generating awareness and ticket sales
  • Week 12: Presentation of key takeaways learned throughout the program

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially with Pages and Numbers
  • Experience with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management abilities
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute ideas

Graphic Design Internship:

Are you a creative powerhouse ready to make your mark? We’re seeking a passionate graphic designer for an intense, rewarding, and action-packed internship! If you’re eager to learn and contribute to a variety of projects for diverse brands, this is the opportunity for you.

You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, Art Director, and other talented agency staff, gaining hands-on experience in the research, planning, and design of marketing communications that align with client needs. This internship is perfect for those curious about the marketing industry and eager to be part of a creative team.

Internship Details:

Duration: 12 weeks
Hours: Specific hours will be determined based on the candidate’s academic requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the concept, design, development, and production of various projects across multiple media
  • Prepare ideas and materials for client presentations
  • Catalog and archive project files

Qualifications:

  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and be a team player with a conceptual mindset
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to proof, preflight, and prepare jobs for output
  • Experience with design for print and digital media
  • Availability to work on-site two days each week during the internship

Internship Path:

Over the course of 12 weeks, you’ll explore the exciting world of graphic design, including:

  • Week 1: General design and web development overview, including workflow and file management
  • Weeks 2-3: Design basics using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Week 4: Resume and portfolio review
  • Week 5: Branding: Intro and hands-on workshop
  • Week 6: Resume and portfolio workshop / Mid-term evaluation
  • Weeks 7-8: Website development basics using WordPress
  • Week 9: Website development workshop
  • Weeks 10-11: Advanced design principles / Final evaluation
  • Week 12: Presentation on a design-related topic of the intern’s choice
