Using The Power Of Video To Engage Stakeholders

Content that engages your audience is now the primary currency in marketing and development. For non-profit organizations and the development professionals that must engage stakeholders with messages that are meaningful and memorable, the right video can leave a lasting impression on an audience and be effective in development efforts.

For a recent project, Explore & More Children’s Museum selected Abbey Mecca to direct and produce two videos that would engage stakeholders at a donor engagement event. Striving to be more than a children’s museum, the organization was eager to share the impact Explore & More has in the Western New York community.

Working with development and marketing staff from Explore & More and dozens of happy children, we told the Explore & More story in a meaningful way. Portions of the video were on location at the current museum location in East Aurora NY, as well as scenes from a ground-breaking ceremony at the future home of the new Explore & More Museum at Canalside.

The project called for a second video highlighting the collaboration between Explore & More and education partner, EduKids.  Jennifer Marino, Director of EduKids Early Childhood Centers, was featured along with children in the EduKids program in Rich’s Family Center as they made cup cakes.  The program helps children learn through play – a central philosophy in the Explore & More model.

While the completion of the new Explore & More Children’s Museum is some months away, the videos impressed upon the audience the important role Explore & More plays today and will play in the future.  You can learn more about their plans and stay up to date on progress here.
