Brewing A New Site For BHSC’s Buffalo Brewfest

Since 2009, Abbey Mecca has provided creative direction and event management services for the Buffalo Brewfest, a fund-raising event that supports agency client Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center. Along with the logistic duties for Buffalo Brewfest, we recently redesigned the Buffalo Brewfest website for the upcoming 2016 event.

Buffalo Brewfest 2016

Buffalo Brewfest is the premier summer festival that features unique craft brews from local, regional, and national brewers.

Buffalo Brewfest has been a huge success since its induction almost 16 years ago. Keeping that in mind, the new website was designed to bring a refreshed view to Buffalo’s oldest craft beer festival, while distributing important news for brewers, volunteers, and attendees.

The website is an infinite scroll design, meaning the website is one page that provides visitors with quality content without navigating through a handful of pages to find what they need.

While thousands of buffalonians congregate to the Historic Cobblestone District in Buffalo, NY to enjoy more than 30 brewers and a troop of food trucks, they are also supporting a much greater cause, and we wanted to make sure this point was made while redesigning the new website.

Buffalo Brewfest

The website mimics beer being poured into a glass, with bubbles from the beer ascending to the top of the glass as the golden brewed liquid fills the screen. We also integrated a photo gallery into the site to show off the good times enjoyed by more than 1,500 people who took part in Buffalo Brewfest in 2015.

The site also boasts a Google map system which allows visitors to gather directions to the event, and a social media bar that connects visitors with the ever-growing social media presence of Buffalo Brewfest.

All proceeds from the 2016 Buffalo Brewfest will benefit Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, a not-for-profit organization, is a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment center for children and adults with speech-language, hearing an communication difficulties.
